Saw the below over at the Planet Mocho blog...had seen photos over the years of Frank with his immediate family, Gail and the kids, but never his parents! An iconic Frank photo right up there with Phi Crappa Zappa...this Planet Mocho post features several "Los Padres of Rock," including those of Clapton, Joe Cocker, Elton John, Richie Havens, and David Crosby, besides Frank's...you can date the photos almost precisely to the year(s) 69-70-or-'71 latest, and they probably part of a specific photo spread on this theme...if I'd have to guess, because of the picture's color, my money is that it comes from LOOK magazine, the LIFE competitor who were targeting that baby boomer demo in their pictorial features.
